In Roman mythology, Aurora is the goddess of the dawn, traversing the sky each morning in advance of the rising sun.

Aurora is an angular doe, with a long elegant neck, has very good length of body, straight front legs, and she levels out beautifully on the move.

This doe has a very sweet and placid disposition, very typical of Minerva's kids, albeit Aurora is a little more shy, and reserved, than her sisters. Like her dam, Aurora is very much a lap-fiend, and will sit in your lap for as long as you let her.

Even at just a few months old Aurora was maturing into a very striking doe, but then as a young yearling, as is often the case with Nigerians, she went through quite an awkward phase. As such, she wasn't shown much as a yearling. Fortunately, that phase was brief, and as she once again is showing her beautiful length, and levelness.  We are looking forward to getting Aurora out into the show ring more next spring once she freshens. Her sister, Carmenta, earned a Best Junior Doe in Show win as a dry junior, so we're very much looking forward to seeing how Aurora compares to Carmen in the ring.
