1 x Junior Grand Champion, 1 x Best Junior Doe in Show

In Roman mythology, Carmenta is one of the Camenae, prophetic water goddesses that preside over fountains and springs.

When Carmen’s dam, Minerva, produced quadruplet daughters last season, choosing just one to retain was almost impossible. As such, we elected to retain three of Minnie’s daughters, Pomona, Aurora, and Carmenta. Carmen not only has many of the qualities I much admire in her sire, and dam, including her length of body, broad, level rump, and very soft, pliable, dairy skin, she also has an incredibly mellow disposition.

This young doe holds a lot of promise in regards to dairy production, too. Her dam, as a first freshener, easily earned her advanced registry milking star, with both ADGA and AGS, for milk volume, butterfat, and protein, producing more than 800 lbs of milk. Her sire also has excellent dairy genetics running through his pedigree.

Carmen is already off to a great start in the show ring. At less than three months old she earned her junior Grand Champion restricted leg, and went on to win Best Junior Doe in Show.
