Curbstone Valley H Tänzerin

Tänzerin holds a lot of promise for production, and her udder is very well attached all the away around. Unfortunately, as you can see from her winter fluffy photo, she is prone to getting fat. Her maternal line is full of easy-keepers. This, of course, weighed heavily (no pun intended) on her general appearance and dairy strength scores at her first appraisal. 

Tansy’s granddam’s, on both sides of her pedigree, are two of my most favorite does for type and production. Lotus milked 1620 lbs in 305 on her fifth lactation, and her sire’s dam, Peridot, milked 1480 lbs as a fifth freshener, with PTAMs for milk of 66, and 48, respectively.

This young doe is long, with great width throughout like her dam, standing on a strong set of feet and legs, with an improved front-end assembly courtesy of her sire.  We just need to get her to skinny up a little.
