Curbstone Valley DS Tara

When Tara was born, she was difficult to miss. A very large single doeling, who finally broke the pale buckskin mold that is so pervasive in this line. Her dam, her aunt Nimue, her granddam Rowena, and great granddam, Royalia, have all been pale buckskins. Suddenly here was this lovely gold and white kid.

Tara has a lot of width, length, and overall dairyness that is typical of this line. She is a lovely young doe, with an outgoing personality more like her granddam Rowena, than her dam who is quite shy by nature. 

Her first freshening was as a three year-old due to the fire and subsequent relocation of the farm. Unfortunately, due to all the chaos leading up to getting back to ‘normal’ in 2022, some of the three year-olds had not been handled as much on leashes prior to appraisal, and Tara had a bit of a meltdown. So, the appraiser scored what could be seen, and her front-end scores suffered somewhat as she insisted on gluing her chin to the floor throughout the entire affair.

Unfortunately, Tara had to sit out appraisal in 2023, as she was heavily pregnant. Her dam has matured into a beautiful doe, and really come into her own as a five year-old, scoring EEEE 91 for her permanent score.
