1 x Junior Grand Champion

Kismet is the second Alethia DJ Written N The Stars daughter retained to the herd. Her maternal half-sister, Allie (When Stars Align), was previously retained, and as a first freshening two year-old, performed far beyond our expectations, both in the ring, and DHI.

While this particular cross is technically an outcross, genetically speaking, both Kismet and Allie do share Twincreeks BW Montego Bay genetics on their respective sire's side of their pedigrees. The principle difference in lineage is via their sire's dam's side of their pedigrees, so it will be interesting to see the differences in structural traits between them as each matures.

Kismet's sire, GCH Castle Rock Abraham Darby, is the maternal half-brother of the 2019 ADGA National Champion doe, CH Castle Rock Tahitian Sunset. Darby has consistently brought both length of body and levelness across that topline to his progeny, improved rear leg set, and angularity, and rump angle, and thus far has crossed very well with Algedi-based genetics.

As Kismet was a late-season kid in 2018, she was too small to warrant taking out to the early shows, but as a four month-old intermediate kid she finally went to her first show of the season. In the first ring she walked into, she placed first in her class, and went on to earn her restricted junior champion leg. Kismet can now lounge around in the barn until she freshens in 2020. Her sister, Allie, has consistently placed at the top of her very large classes, and secured her permanent championship as a first freshening two year-old. No pressure, Kismet...
