Lion Heart is a buck that we’ve been watching for a while. Unfortunately, he is related to a large proportion of the herd, so he’s been waiting for an extra year before we fill his dance card.
Leo combines some of the best mammary genetics in the herd. His dam, Breakin’ My Heart, has trememdous width, an incredibly capacious udder, strong medial attachment, and the near-perfect teat placement typical of Cleveland Sage daughters.
Leo’s sire’s dam, Written N The Stars, is a gorgeous dairy doe, capacious, with excellent rear udder height, and placed 5th, with 3rd place udder ,in the three year-old class at the ADGA 2015 National Show. She is also the dam of When Stars Align and Destiny’s Starman, who both finished their permanent championships as two-year olds.
Although Leo has been waiting in the wings, we are looking forward to finally pairing him with a few Hanukkah daughters in the fall of 2021.
