Curbstone Valley Nadia Nerina

Nadia is a light linebreeding on SG Castle Rock Lotus. This little late season doe takes no effort to get her to stand well for the camera, and is already demonstrating some structural improvements over her dam.

Her maternal line overall has struggled somewhat with being easily prone to excess fleshing, and the tendency to run toward the overweight end of the spectrum has made it difficult to evaluate their underlying structure. They are sound, and solid, and have proven themselves to be productive does, but we are hoping to see a little more femininity in frame with Nadia (once she is clipped, and not in her winter clothes).

We selected Nadia’s sire for the potential for him to make improvements in both general appearance,  and dairy strength. She is already demonstrating more angularity relative to her dam at this age, but still retaining the capacity this doe line is known for. Space Oddity’s daughters so far are freshening with beautiful mammary systems. We would like to see Nadia’s teat placement more medial than her dam, but for that we will have to wait to see her freshen in spring 2024.
