Curbstone Valley H Talitha

Stars Align had not had a daughter since her first freshening. While we sold her daughter, Zeta, we retained Bellatrix. Allie’s following freshening was a single buck, who is working at 3G Family Farm, then with a year off due to the fire, Allie was six before finally having another daughter, Talitha.

Allie herself was slow to mature, and her daughter Bellatrix, has been the same. As beautiful as she is, one area we wanted to improve was width in the rump, so we selected Hanukkah to be Talitha’s sire.

Talitha’s dam has done very well so far, finishing her permanent championship as a two year-old first freshener. Allie scored with the widest, most well attached mammary system here as a two year-old, with 47 for rear udder arch (RUA), 40 for rear udder height (RUH), 36 for foreudder attachment (FUA), and 31 for medial strength. As a six year-old, she earned VEEE 90 on linear appraisal for her permanent score.

Tally’s brother, Regulus, is maturing beautifully, and earned a RGCH, GCH, and BOB at his very first show as a yearling buck. 

Hanukkah has produced some lovely daughters for us, including some of the highest appraising first fresheners in the herd, so we are very anxious to see how Talitha continues to mature over the coming year.
