Myrddin’s sister, Gwenhwyfar, was perhaps one of the most anticipated does born on the farm in 2020. His sire, Hanukkah, has produced some of the most consistent kids, with beautiful general appearance, and is throwing wide, level rumps. None moreso than Myrddin’s. Good rumps in Nigerians do exist, but they are far from the norm, and this young handsome buck, from the second he hit the straw, had one of the most impressive rumps I’ve seen on any buck kid born here. Don’t judge the tucked rutty fluffy buck photo here. We will get a photo of him all clipped up next spring.

As he’s a Rowena son, the rest of his general appearance isn’t too shabby either.

Myrddin’s pedigree is also a sight to behold. His dam, Rowena, is an AGS and ADGA Top Ten doe, has placed squarely on the elite doe list for the past 3 years, and has been one of our strongest milkers with a PTAM at the time of writing this of 69.

Hanukkah, Myrddin’s sire, comes from very strong milking genetics. and his dam, and sire’s dam also have strong positive PTAMs and PTIs for production, and type, and both does are multi year breed leaders for production.

Myrddin’s maternal half-sister, in late fall 2022, Avalon, is so much like her dam in general appearance, appraised with the second highest score in the herd, at EEEE 91 for her permanent score.

He has a lot to live up to, but we are happy to see how his daughters perform over the next few years.
