On April Fools Day in 2022, Demi’s dam, Melia, gave birth to quadruplet doelings. The only time quad does had been born on the farm, was when when Melia’s own dam, Ocean Flower, did that the first spring after she joined the herd.
Demi is love dairy doe, very similar in type to her dam, in her length, width, flatness of bone, and angularity.
With four lovely doelings to choose from, sired by Hanukkah, it was not an easy decision, as Hanukkah has produced some of the best junior does currently on the farm. With Ocean and Peridot behind this doe, we hope we made the right choice, and we will know that once Demi freshens in 2024.
