Our coastal climate eliminates almost any likelihood of snow around Christmas, though there was a dusting of frost at dawn. However, even with no snow at Christmas, nature still provides us with plenty of festive greenery.
A Christmas tree…
A Little fir grew in the midst of the wood
Contented and happy, as young trees should.
His body was straight and his boughs were clean;
And summer and winter the bountiful sheen
Of his needles bedecked him, from top to root,
In a beautiful, all-the-year, evergreen suit.

A few holiday berries…
Festive boughs…
A splash of Christmas red…
and some holly-like leaves…
…are all part of Christmas here at Curbstone Valley
Wishing you all the peace and joy of the holiday season.
Gorgeous…photos are stunning!What a lovely post!
Nandina is one of my favorite native plants. Your photos are lovely. We had no snow either, of course, but we did have enough frost to coat the nandina leaves. That’s as white a Christmas as we are likely to ever get! I hope you have a blessed New Year.
