Curbstone Valley H Morgana

Ava’s first daughter, Tara, was not supposed to be the only daughter we retained from her. Ava’s dam, Rowena, an SG and formerly Elite doe, has been a favorite for years, but try as we might we had a ridiculous number of bucklings born to Avalon. We had almost given up hope of getting another daughter to retain from her.

Avalon was appraised in October 2022 as part of a special session. Scoring EEEE 91 as her permanent score, with E’s in shoulders, front and rear legs, back, and rump, in addition to be productive, but the frustration that at that time she had only produced one daughter was beyond frustrating!

For whatever reason, Avalon and Hanukkah loved to produce bucklings. Triplet bucks in 2020. Quad bucks in 2022, and then in 2023, two MORE bucklings…but also, at last, two doelings! Ygrayne, and Morgana finally arrived. Perhaps the third time really is a charm?

While Ygrayne takes more after her dam, Morgana is almost the spitting image of her sire, but Han has a certain way of stamping most of his kids that way.  She is angular, with lovely flat bone, and has a long lean well-placed dairy neck, straight legs, and natural up-hill stance.

Morgana is the only doe bred to Allie and Dauntless’ son, Rigel, for 2025 kids. Hopefully it won’t take as long for Morgana to provide a daughter for us to retain!
