Curbstone Valley H Union Jack *B *S (Pending)

Jack was one of four beautiful bucklings born to Elektra in 2023. After watching them unfold and grow out, Jack had a clear edge in general appearance over his brothers, and was an easy to retain. Unfortunately, his sister that year was born DOA, and as Elektra is now retired, we chose to retain her son. 

Jack’s dam was the last daughter born to GCH Algedi Farm Ocean Flower EEEE 92. She was a kid during our wildland fire evacuation. Unfortunately, upon the return home she somehow managed to find herself trapped under an upturned free-standing hay feeder, and fractured her pelvis, cutting her show career drastically short. As displacement was minimal, after sufficient time to heal she was bred successfully, and freshened with the most Ocean-like udder of any of Ocean’s daughters previously. However, after two freshenings it became apparent that Elektra’s injured side was causing some discomfort during late pregnancy, and she was permanently retired. 

As Jack continues to mature, he is becoming quite the stand-out in general appearance in the junior buckling group. Level, uphill, with a long lean dairy neck, strong front end, with sharp shoulders, and more length in the cannon than his dam. He was collected in the fall of 2024 during our XCELL Genetics collection stop, even though we had not yet used him in our program. However, we are very eager to meet his first progeny in 2025.
