Shannon’s sister, Moselle, had a lovely first freshening udder in 2022.
Her dam, Blythe, is one of the sweetest senior does on the farm, and Shannon very much shares that same personality.
As Shannon is maturing, it is clear she has a wider rump than her dam, but otherwise is very similar in overall type. Blythe has been quite slow to mature, but appraised with a respectable VVVV 87 as a four year-old.
Blythe has a lovely high, well attached, udder, with lots of width to the arch, typical of Roxstar’s daughters. Curious what the addition of Hanukkah and Calypso’s genetics bring in regards to udder conformation and production, we have decided to retain Blythe’s 2022 daughter as well.
