GCH Alethia HB Destiny’s Starman +*B +S

We had originally placed a reservation on Alethia DJ Written N The Stars, “Destiny”, for a buckling, but the reservation that year was unable to be fulfilled. We looked forward to the next breeding season, but an opportunity to bring Destiny to the farm presented itself instead, and we couldn’t refuse. Destiny arrived as a bred doe, and we were thrilled that it was a repeat breeding from the prior season, to Honeymoon Bay.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of Destiny’s kids, she produced buck and doe twins, and we could not have been more thrilled. Our little Starman, ‘Ziggy’, had finally arrived, and both he, and his sister, Alethia HB When Stars Align, looked like carbon copies of their dam from the moment they were born.

Ziggy has been used extensively the last two breeding seasons, and a number of his daughters have handily secured their restricted champion legs by a few months old. 

As a two year-old buck, Ziggy was appraised EVE 90, and over the next couple of weeks he easily secured three senior Grand Champion wins, to finish his permanent championship. 

Meanwhile, his sister Allie, consistently placed at the head of her classes as a first freshening two year-old, and also finished her permanent championship. She was also the highest milking first freshener in our barn that year. We could not be more proud of Ziggy and Allie, and are thrilled to have both of them in our barn.

A huge thank you to Dana, and Siena, of Alethia Homestead for entrusting Ziggy and Allie’s dam to us. She, and her sons and daughters, have proven to be an incredible asset to our herd. We’re very excited to see Ziggy’s first daughters freshen in the spring of 2020.
