GCH Alethia DJ Written N The Stars 5*M *D AR 3054

The stars very much aligned themselves in our favor when we were recently afforded an opportunity to provide Alethia DJ Written N The Stars, known as ‘Destiny’, a permanent home at Curbstone Valley Farm. 

This beautiful doe is an Algedi Farm Drops of Jupiter and Stella Luna daughter, and is line bred on Rosasharn’s TL Zenith. We have admired Destiny for quite some time, and had previously placed a reservation for a buckling from her.  However, we simply could not turn down a chance to bring Destiny here to live with us instead. 

Destiny is a small doe in stature, standing at just over 20 inches in height. She stands on strong feet and legs, with a wide rump, and the length of body we love to see in our own herd. She has a well attached, and capacious udder, with excellent texture, plumb teats, and a strong smooth foreudder attachment. At the 2015 ADGA National Show, Destiny placed fifth in a class of 31 does in her three year-old class, earning third place udder in that class. As a Jupiter daughter, she was part of the winning trio of does for Senior Get-of-Sire.

Destiny is quite similar in general appearance to her dam, Stella Luna, who is herself a beautiful smoothly blended doe, that exudes dairy strength, with a long level topline and rump, an elegantly long neck, and a natural uphill stance. 

Destiny’s sire, Drops of Jupiter, has long been synonymous with the Algedi herd name, and he has sired some gorgeous offspring. Jupiter has seven finished champion daughters, including Destiny, two champion sons, and two daughters that have earned their Superior Genetics titles thus far. At the 2015 ADGA National Show, Drops of Jupiter deservingly earned both the Senior Get-of-Sire, and the Premier Sire award.

When Destiny arrived on the farm, she as bred to Algedi Farm MB Honeymoon Bay +*B, son of SGCH Rosasharn’s UMT Tupelo Honey 4*D EEEE 91, and Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay ++*B ++*S AR. Destiny kidded with buck/doe twins, and both were retained to the herd.

Destiny is as productive, as she is beautiful. She was enrolled in DHIR for the first time in 2017, and earned her AR milk stars with ADGA and AGS, producing 950 lbs of milk as a fourth freshener. The same year, she earned a permanent Linear Appraisal score of VEEE 91.

It goes without saying that we are thrilled that Destiny can now make her forever home here with us. A huge thank you to Siena, and Dana, for entrusting us with your sweet Luna daughter. We know how much she means to you, and we promise to take the utmost care of her.
